Y-DNA TEST RESULTS

It's official: DNA testing has confirmed that Cynthia Brott Biasca, the author of our first two "Bradt Books," is "Bradt Family." Her brother's 12 marker DNA test was identical to several of us documented Bradts. The first issue of the 2005 Bradt Family News has the story in detail.

Laurie Grimes is co-administrator of the "Bradt DNA Project."  Her e-mail address is on the Home Page.  The Y-DNA test determines the genetic probability that a man is a direct descendant of Albert or Arent by an unbroken line of male descent.  For men who are descended through female lines, this test would not show any relationship.  Women do not have the Y chromosome.
