New Amsterdam as it appeared about 1647.  The large building is the church, located inside the fort.  Albert Brat's properties were behind the church, across the street from the fort.  I'm not sure of the orientation, but I believe the Hudson River and New Jersey are to the left, and the East River and Long Island are to the right.  Can anyone confirm???
The windmill is different from the ones you usually see today.  The entire millhouse pivots to catch the wind, not just the blades.
