Hi Laurie,
How is everything coming along?
I’d like to include the married names of the women from the first 2 or 3 generations of Bradts
in the web site. I don’t necessarily want the original spelling, but the ones that are likely to be in common use today.
Is this something that you could help me out with?
Thanks. –Steve Brott

Sure, Steve. I can help a little anyway, as I know who they married. But as to what it is today, I
can't say for sure, but I think most are the same. People who are researching the names in the earlier centuries I would imagine
would look under the earlier spellings anyway. We haven't followed the female lines too far, so I can't say how the names
evolved for the most part..
Let's see, on the Albert side, we have: 2nd generation: De Hooges, Swartwout (now spelled Swartout),
Slingerland, Echelen, Hendricks
3rd generation: Egberts, Boogh (which I think is now Debow), Keteluyn, Van Iveren, Becker, Schackerly
(this one has been spelled Seckerly, Sackerly, Shekly, etc. - don't know how they spell it now), Pemberton, Morris, Wilkinson,
Van Slyck, Borger, Collinson
On the Arent side, we have: 2nd generation: Van Patten (also spelled Van Petten), Otten, Schermerhorn,
Putman
3rd generation: Van Wormer, Burns, Bosie, Toll, Van Slyck, Vrooman, Berritt, Van Vranken.
